: To allow clinicians to anonymously
assess their ECG interpretation skills.
As highlighted in various medical publications and by NHS Consultant
Cardiologists over the past few years, the misunderstanding & misdiagnosis of
ECGs has led to a large number of false positives/negatives. This results in
unnecessary patient referrals/ increased anxiety or patients being totally
missed. From using this tool we hope to demonstrate that key to the
interpretation of an ECG is the patient history.
MEO is a leading group of Electrophysiologists (Consultant Cardiologists) that
have created Know Your ECG to highlight the difficulties and complexities of the
ECG. If you would like to find out more about how MEO can help you in primary
care please look at www.meomed.co.uk
